"In 1969 I rented an old farmhouse for a pittance, out on the Palmers Channel Road behind Yamba with Gary Keyes, Christian Brock and their girlfriends. It was there we set up Country Soul surfboards. George Greenough soon joined us. Bennetts railed blanks and resin to Grafton. Stringers were plywood from the Grafton sawmill. We surfed Anga daily unless the nor’easters said to surf Pippies later.
The local eagles were always present, and still are! So, what better logo? Hand drawn on tissue, glassed into our “textured” lightweight decks. Truly epic surfboards.” - Bob McTavish.
